SNOWMOBILE SAFETY COURSE

Featured Article

The safety course was held Saturday December 10th. I feel it was one of the best that we've put on. Forty six adults & children took the test and all passed. There were several that had a perfect score. Much to my amazement club members Jim Marker and John Petry both passed the test. The use of the DVD that we received from the International Snowmobile Manufactures Association, which covers most of what's in mthe workbook that we use in class, has speeded up the time it takes to put the class on. I'm a firm believer in a picture is worth a thousand words. During lunch time we showed another DVD titled Sled Ed's Greatest Hits. Ed is the Master of Disaster, The Wizard Of Wreckage. Ed shows you how NOT to ride your snowmobile by using comedy and important safety messages. Everybody got a good laugh watching Ed crash into trees, trucks, snowplows, cars and more. I would like to thank the following club members who helped out. Dave Hoffer, Micci Hoffer, Jim Auer, Jeff Vanette and my wife Garna. Conservation Officers Jim Price & Levi Knach were on hand to cover the laws, registration and to sign the completion certificates. I would also like to thank Planet Powersports for the use of a 2012 Polaris IQ 4 stroke turbo sled for instruction purpose and Simmons Insurance Agency for helping out with the expense of the lunch we provided. Potawatomi Snowmobile Club gives $1200.27 dollars to Toys for Tots

This is how the Angola Newspaper should have looked the next day,but probably didn’t .

This will undoubtedly be the best Christmas that a lot of children has ever had. It would be good to know

How many children our club actually helped. We can be very proud of our club for all the good we have done for others. Our club definitely understands the meaning of sharing our blessings. Never did Kim and I ever hope for this kind of loving response. We, in fact, just hoped for matching last year’s gift of $860.00. We and the whole club were completely and totally surprised by this year’s wonderful gift.

We thank each of you for your participation in this year’s Christmas gift giving; also we wish to thank you again for all

You did for the Thanksgiving drive. We are sure some of you gave until it hurt, what a testimony of your love for others.

So in closing of this year’s two “BIG” fundraisers we can only say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.

May you have a Very Blessed Christmas?

Kim and Don

God Bless

A Tribute to Marjorie Mayer

Trail Update

On November 2nd we lost lifetime club member Marjorie Mayer. Some of our newer members my not have known the Mayer's. Her husband Dean passed away in 2007. There were not more dedicated club members than Marjorie & Dean. They were there, helping with every club event. The grass drags, Quincy tip up ice drags, putting in the trail, taking out the trail, cleaning up the Q-Hut area, club ride and I think attended every club meeting, like I said they were always there. I don't think they missed a single Snow Dance. Marjorie was at our last Snow Dance in January, she set at our table. When it was apparent that Dean was failing, the club voted to make them life time
